Everybody starts out as a tagger (or ‘It’), but that means you need to avoid being tagged while at the same time trying to tag others. If you tag somebody that person becomes frozen and can only be released if the person who tagged them originally becomes tagged themselves. So you will quite often hear cries of ‘get [name of tagger]’ by those captured so they can be released and back into the game.
Game carries on until there is a decision to stop or only one tagger left.
