Simple, popular circle game among older children and teenagers, that’s fun because of the sound and need for concentration. Although if anybody remembers the 1976 film Bugsy Malone, and the splurge guns there is potentially a similarity there :-). There is also a version called Category Splat that’s reported by the @the_drama_centre to be more popular with teenagers.
Have your group make a circle, standing comfortably apart from each other. One person stands in the middle and becomes the Splatter.
The Splatter points at somebody and/or pretends to shoot and says “Splat!”. That person has to duck down and the players on either side of them now have to turn towards each other and point (or pretend to shoot) and say “Splat”. The player who says “Splat” last or forgets is out and sits down where they are. The player who had been picked by the Splatter and had to duck down, then stands up to carry on with the game.
However, players have to remember who has sat down and who remains standing, as those still playing now have to regard the next person to their left or to their right in the circle who is still standing as their neighbour.
Play continues until only 2 players in the circle are left. You can if wanted decide a winner through the use of Scissors, paper, stone.
