Fun, relatively energetic game seen being promoted by Educação Física da Depressão (Physical Education for Depression)(https://www.facebook.com/educacaofisicadadepressaoo/reels/), that helps develop coordination and accuracy of throwing a ball.
Good for any age and can be played in teams competing against each other or a small group.
Equipment:
Plenty of hoola-hoops. Suggest at least one per person playing.
Football, volleyball or similar, eg dense foam ball.
Something to mark a starting point or line (or just use another hoop. One for each team).
Play:
Create a throwing point for each team along a line and lay out all the hoops on the ground starting about 5m away (this distance can changed depending on the skill of the teams).
One player from each team chooses a hoop to stand in. The rest of the team line up behind the throwing point. In turn they throw the ball from this point to the player in the hoop.
If they miss the player in the hoop retrieves the ball and throws it back for the next person in line to have a go.
If the player in the hoop catches the ball, the player picks up the hoop and runs back with it and the ball to the line. Leaving the hoop at the throwing point and joins the back of the line. The person who threw the ball now runs out to find an empty hoop and the process starts again.
The team that rescues the most hoops in a set time limit or the first rescue a set number wins.
