“Salto Enumerado” interesting physical activity/game for coordination and concentration that resembles hopscotch, being promoted by Danillo Mariano (https://www.facebook.com/danillo.mariano.39)

Although Danillo uses hulahoops and cones, it’s quite possible to play this using chalked out squares or circles instead. Salto Enumerado here is also played with person carrying a small ball, like a tennis ball.

Equipment

A number of hulahoops laid edge to edge on the ground in line with a final hulahoop 2 or 3 metres from the last hoop. Danillo in his example uses 7 hoops edge to edge. In the absence of any hoops, but a surface that can be drawn on, chalk out some large squares or circles.

Beside each hoop place either 1, 2 or 3 cones in a random order. If you don’t have (or don’t want to use) cones, then you could consider writing/chalking the number in the circles you’ve drawn or to one side.

Tennis ball or similar for each person playing.

Play

Divide into even teams and play this as a relay race or as a single small group. If playing as teams each team will need it’s own line of circles.

The number of cones or the number written is how many limbs have to be touching the floor in that circle. Eg

  • 1 = only one foot, players have to hop into that circle.
  • 2 = two feet, players have to jump with both feet into that circle.
  • 3 = two feet and 1 hand. Players have to jump in this circle, and bend or crouch down so one hand is also touching the floor.

From the starting line, each player in turn carries their tennis ball and then proceeds through the hoops jumping and hopping appropriate to the number allocated to that hoop. At the end they run upto the final hoop, deposit their tennis ball and run back to their team to start the next person running.

If done as a timed race, winning team is the one with the most balls deposited in the final circle.
