Variation of Bulldogs. Set up as in Bulldogs with all players standing at one end of the playing area. Depending on the size of the playing area and number playing, choose 1 – 4 players to become the ‘Octopuses’ (the catchers). Players if caught sit down where they were caught to create an obstacle to those still running, although they may not move they can ‘tag’ unwary players who get too close. This variation is also used in the Dodge ball games.
