AKA: Triangle Tag (with 4 people)
A simple but fun game that is basically a sort of tail tally/tag game that needs to be played in small groups of 4, 5 or 6. A version of this game playing with groups of 4 is known as “Triangle Tag”.
Equipment wise all you need is a cloth like a tea towel for each group playing. One player wears the cloth with part of it tucked into their trouser band or back of their neckline so that the majority of the cloth hangs free and is easy to grab. Another player is the tagger.
Apart from the tagger. The other players, including the one with the cloth, form a circle facing inwards and link arms. You can choose whether this is holding hands or players lean in and link across shoulders.
The tagger always starts at the opposite side of the circle to the player with the cloth. The tagger has the objective of grabbing the cloth, while the players creating the circle have the objective of stopping the tagger reaching the cloth by moving in a circle as a group. The movement of the circle with a cloth could be regarded as being similar to a washing machine, hence the name.
When the tagger gets the cloth, swap around.
