Team Circle Dodge Ball

Can play with relatively small number of players, but it’s more fun with a larger number of players.

You need a football/soccer ball or a similar size ball that’s soft enough to not hurt too much on impact when thrown, but large to easily catch and with enough weight to allow it to be thrown 4 or 5 meters easily. Use or draw a large circle about 4-5 meters in diameter.

Split players into two teams. One team becomes the dodgers and stand within a defined space/circle, the other team become the throwers and stand on the outside of the circle. All players can freely move around, but throwers must stay outside the circle and the dodgers remain inside the circle. Throwers have to knock out or ‘tag’ players on the dodger team by hitting them with the ball below the knee (or below the waist if preferred). Throwers can if wanted pass the ball to other players on their team.

Players who are tagged/hit are out and have to leave the circle. Depending on which rule you want to play by they either sit out the rest of the game or become part of the throwers’ team.
