Anagrams.
Give each player a list of fruit and vegetables, but with the names of each fruit and vegetables jumbled up within itself (an anagram). E.g. Cabbage could be BEGABAC. Players have to unscramble the letters to work out what the fruit is. You can play this as a game and make it the first person to unscramble or so many, or just an activity.
You could play this with a real fruit bowl at one end of the room which players then have to fetch the fruit they have worked out from the letters.
