AKA: 'Strontbult' (by the Scouts in the Netherlands)

A game being promoted by @dewzcrew, but also apparently played by the Scouts. A very competitive, energetic game where being nimble/dexterous is an advantage. It also involves a lot of physical strain, so possibly something only for older players. Although if you know of a version suitable for younger players or the less competitive, let us know.

You will need a large object (like a dustbin) and for each player identical lengths of rope, 1 meter or so length with a large knot at both ends.

From the style of play the assumption is that this needs a minimum of 4 players. It could possibly work with more. What’s the most you’ve tried this with?

To start, players stand equidistant around the can facing inwards, holding onto to the ends of the ropes, using the knots to help stop the ropes from, slipping out of their hands. Aim of the game is for players through moving and pulling on the ropes to get one of the players to touch the can and loose. Sounds simple, but there’s a great deal of skill involved.

If you know this by any other names, comment and let us know!
